Difference between a Product & Deal

Product or Deal?

A deal is a special promotion on a product or service. Sellers are encouraged to list their specials as Deals to catch buyers’ attention.

  • Price is must for listing a Product whereas a Deal doesn’t require a price e.g. “Nokia mobile with free one-time charge”
  • Products appear in TolMol product search results whereas Deals appear in TolMol deal search results
  • Shoppers can compare the prices of a Product to choose the appropriate seller but Deals cannot be compared by price. They can only be compared by the value they offer to the shopper.
